There is a specific type of television moment where everything appears to be going well on screen, but something completely different is taking place off-screen. Fans of the Netflix series had been waiting months for confirmation that Connor Tomlinson and Georgie Harris were still together when the fourth season of Love on the Spectrum premiered. Yes, there was some conflict between them, but they were united. The relationship had already ended by the time viewers were watching those early episodes, something the camera failed to depict and what they didn’t discover until much later.

After returning from London, Connor and Georgie parted ways about a week later. They requested the breakup, which took place off-camera. At a cast gathering for Madison Marilla and Tyler White’s engagement party, it was discreetly but publicly revealed that one relationship was ending in the same venue as another. “Georgie and I are no longer together,” Connor said simply to the group. We came to a consensus. Although we are two amazing individuals, we are very different from one another.” The amount of thought that went into those words is difficult to ignore. Not dramatic, not icy. Just be truthful.

Their story began with immediate, unguarded surprise, as good stories sometimes do. In season three, Connor went on a blind date with Georgie and was clearly agitated by her. On camera, he exclaimed, “Whoa. Who is that?” before gathering his thoughts. While making his way to the restroom, he would whisper compliments about her, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he was still being recorded. He began referring to her as his “demi-goddess.” Their love of The Dragon Prince and their status as the eldest siblings in their families brought them together. It was the kind of first-impression chemistry that reality TV attempts to create but seldom succeeds in capturing; it was genuine and specific.

They spent a year dating. Connor upgraded Georgie to the “queen’s package” at Medieval Times on Valentine’s Day so they could watch the joust in the front row. That particular detail reveals something about Connor’s methodical, meticulous, and ceremonial approach to achieving his goals. Prior to the show, he had never dated anyone. He claimed that he had been too anxious and worried about saying the wrong thing. For a while, something clicked with Georgie.

The complications were monitored in Season 4. Georgie admitted that she occasionally withdraws physically, even from someone she cares about, a pattern she was trying to figure out about herself. Connor found it difficult to read Georgie’s emotional cues. “I don’t mean to make you feel that way,” she said to him. “I think, maybe, ’cause I’ve never kissed, like, a boy … I’m still trying to learn that it’s okay to kiss you ’cause you are my boyfriend.” It was a sincere, introspective moment. The kind that is both difficult to watch and easy to respect because it shows two people who are genuinely trying but not quite succeeding.

The trip to London was meant to be a turning point. Connor had previously visited London, but he had only spent a short time there and was obviously moved by the city. This time, he showed Georgie Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, and Big Ben. He took her to see his late grandmother’s grave, which is an intimate act with special significance. However, in an attempt to be romantic, he turned to see her engrossed in the ladybugs and honeybees floating through the grass in Hyde Park. He later told his mother, “It seemed like she was more transfixed by the honeybees and the ladybugs than she was with me.” He responded, “Like I was invisible,” when she asked how it made him feel.

Speaking on a podcast she co-hosts with a costar’s parent, his mother Lise provided a thoughtful, loving explanation of how the breakup was handled. She talked about the family’s decision to not have the breakup filmed and Connor realizing during the trip that Georgie wasn’t the right person for him. “We’ve shared so much of our lives,” Lise replied, “but I felt like this was a private moment that didn’t need to be consumed.” She also softly admitted that Georgie probably didn’t anticipate it and probably didn’t want it to end.

Both of them have moved on in ways that feel authentic to who they are since the breakup. In November 2025, Connor quit his seven-year position at Kroger. He assisted in getting Georgia’s Rio’s Law, a bill intended to assist law enforcement in identifying individuals with autism before approaching their vehicles, passed by the state legislature. In March 2026, it was approved unanimously. He described it as one of the greatest honors of his life in his testimony. Georgie has kept up her advocacy work with Foster Love and Two Sparrows Village. In February, she posted about the loss of her cherished dog, Duke, to which Connor subtly responded with a kind remark.

Connor has stated that he will not be returning for season five, giving the “torch” to the next person. He is drawn to animation with a genuine, focused enthusiasm rather than a casual interest, and he is headed toward voice acting in the same way that he is drawn to history and medieval things. He remains unmarried. He’s still searching. He stated to Us Weekly, “I want someone smart, sophisticated, and talented.” “Still very kind and pretty.” Observing all of this, it seems as though Connor’s story on the show has come to an end, but his real story is still being written. The version of Connor that entered season 2 is very different from the one that left season 4.
