The Creative Learning Guild is an educational charity dedicated to opening doors through the arts, design, and craft — for children, young people, and adults who deserve access to learning that goes beyond the ordinary classroom.
An organisation built on a simple belief
Creative learning is not a luxury. It is a necessity — one that too many children and young people in the UK are quietly denied. The Creative Learning Guild was established to change that. We develop programmes, strategies, and training pathways that bring the arts, design, and craft into the lives of people who might otherwise never encounter them in a meaningful way.
We are a not-for-profit organisation governed by a board of trustees, none of whom receive any payment for their service. That independence matters. It means every decision we make is guided by our educational mission, not by commercial interest.
We develop strategies and programmes specifically designed to draw children and young people into meaningful engagement with arts, design, and craft — whether they come from resourced backgrounds or not.
Beyond school age, we provide both accredited and non-accredited vocational and life-skills training for young people and adults — equipping them with real, usable skills for the world of work and everyday life.
Our work spans formal and informal learning environments. We believe education takes many shapes — and that the most lasting learning often happens through making, doing, and creating alongside others.
Beyond our educational programmes, we publish updates, commentary, and opinion on topics of public interest — including finance, politics, health, and local regional affairs. We do this because we believe access to a broad range of informed perspectives strengthens communities. But we are clear about what we are and what we are not.
