100 Masters initiated a daring new partnership between the UK’s biggest regional newspaper and local artists. Using augmented reality, it brought animated artwork into 80,000 households across the UK.
Working with the Express and Star newspaper, commissioned artists and international tech company, Blippar the project successfully pioneered the first non-commercial use of Augmented Reality technology in a UK newspaper.
This innovative collaboration motivated people to nominate someone they know who is brilliant at what they do. 100 Masters uncovered a breadth of local talent: from Indian drum virtuosos and aerospace engineers to visually-impaired marathon runners and mosaic artists.
The #BeACreativeProducer Project, directed by Paula Briggs from AccessArt, demonstrates what happens when teenagers collaborate to inspire creativity in young people. Meeting after school and at weekends, the five 13 year olds who make up the #BeACreativeProducer team have combined their creative skills in the physical and digital world to make a series of short films and animations to remind young people across the UK that “The World Needs Your Creativity!”. The commitment and creativity of the teenagers, combined with the vision and facilitation of their mentor Paula, has resulted in a project which will inspire teenagers to celebrate their own creativity.
